Frequently asked questions

Does Arndell School have a canteen?

Arndell School does not have a canteen, so we ask that families provide students with fruit for Crunch and Sip, a snack for recess, a packed lunch, and a plastic water bottle each day.

As part of our wellbeing program, we also offer a Breakfast Club for students who may be hungry after their journey to school. With guidance from staff, students are encouraged to prepare their own breakfast from a selection of cereal, toast, and—when available—fresh eggs from our school chickens. This routine helps students start the day well-nourished while also building independence and responsibility.

When does the Arndell school day start and finish?
Students may arrive at school from 8:30am, where they are supervised and can take part in morning play. The school day begins at 9:00am and finishes at 2:30pm.
How can I listen to the composition my child made with Music Michael?

Are there student review meetings and if so, who can attend?

Yes, review meetings are held on Mondays, either onsite at Arndell or online. An initial review meeting takes place once a student has been attending Arndell for around six weeks, with follow-up meetings every ten weeks thereafter.

These meetings bring together parents and carers, Arndell staff, census school staff, Coral Tree Family Service (for students in the Clinical Schools Program), and any health or other relevant professionals. Together, we review each student’s progress, celebrate successes, and plan the next steps to support their ongoing learning and wellbeing.

Do all students have access to Coral Tree Family Services?

No. While Coral Tree staff work closely with Arndell and provide valuable training, consultation and advice to our team, only students enrolled in the Clinical Schools Program receive the therapeutic support offered by Coral Tree clinicians to students and their families.
